Between the 6th and the 13th of August Filoxenia organised together with Kleiner Muck e.V. the second part of the greek-german youth exchange with the topic diversity.
Workshops that took place had their focus on privileges, discrimination and memory.
A highlight of the week were a hiking tour to the Karamanos (or Rifka's) cave near the village Kryoneri. After one hour of walking through the footpaths, made by previous volunteers of Filoxenia, we reached the cave, where a Jewish family was hiding during the German Occupation in Greece (in WW2). There we spoke about the story of the family, about the help of the village in that time and collected thoughts of the participants on the topic "memory".
