Within the Erasmus + program, a group of Polish students of a 3rd class of Technical college (field of Landscape architecture and Rural tourism) stayed in the hostel Elisson in Kryoneri, Korinthias. Between 2-29 of September 2018, they were learning about Greek culture, improving their English and having the practical experience of their profession.
During the monthly stay, students of landscape architecture worked in the garden of the hostel, they were cutting grass and wood too. Young people learned about the creation of garden chairs from recycling material and did plans for the design of the urban space. At the end of the internship students planted bushes and trees in the central Kryoneri and also cleaned the footpath near Elisson river. Students of rural tourism were helping in the Elisson hostel mainly in the kitchen, with serving food and cleaning. Students reconstructed the tables for the hostel and also cleaned, painted the garden and organized it for the winter season. They created signs for the garden and re-organised the base of mountain bikes.
They also had time for inter-cultural experience, presented their culture and gastronomy to the local community. In their free time, young people learned the secrets of Greek cuisine, visited the most interesting places of Peloponnese, but also found time to relax on the beach in Kiato. All students were very happy and had an unforgettable experience in Greece. They hope that the Erasmus + program will help them to do their dream job, not only in their own country, but also in the countries of the European Union.
