During the second half of July, Filoxenia organised another Greek-German youth project with their partner from Berlin that followed the path of the past. The main topic was remembrance, that's why our participants collected at first their own thoughts of what this word means to them.
Through workshops that focused on discrimination and on past Greek and German historical events, they also got the chance to get to know the main village story about the Kamchi family, that was hidden in Kryoneri during WW2, since they were going to be part of the stumbling stones ceremony that took place in Kryoneri on the 22nd of July 2022 and where many Kamchi family members were present.
Part of the project was also to include the local society in the question of "what does remembrance and memory mean to you?" by creating questions for passers-by of the village.
