This project was coordinated by the Luxembourgish organization Service national de la jeunesse (SNJ). The Partner organization - FILOXENIA conducted a volunteering activity in Kryoneri, Korinthias (Greece). Programme played an essential role in the inclusion of young people, who are considered to have fewer opportunities in the European Solidarity Corps programmes. Despite its short duration, the project has had a high positive impact on the participants, as well as on the local community, who benefited from this service.
The volunteering project took place between July 9th and August 8th 2020 and involved 14 young participants, who worked on the following activities:

promoting the sustainability of rural tourism;

cleaning of the environmental footpaths around Kryoneri;

developing flora & fauna information panels alongside the environmental footpaths;

reusing old materials for new wooden constructions;
-
collecting waste for recycling;
-
developing an organic botanic garden;
-
constructing the information signs for plants;
-
engaging in solidarity actions;
-
creating environmental and cultural mosaics.
