Youth exchange “Youthcracy” preparation meeting in Belgium
During the period 16.6.2023 – 18.6.2023 our youth leader Elina took part in the preparation (APV) visit in Botassart, Belgium for the Youth exchange simulation game to actively experience democracy and participation. This project will take place in August during 19.-27.08.2023 at the youth center Loryhan, Belgium.
The youth exchange target young people aged 15-18 y.o. and aim to gain experience and be able to understand the implications of what they vote for, to understand in depth the concept of democracy and how it works as well as to motivate youth to participate in public life.
We discussed about different topics like the weekly program, tasks, workshops, sharing roles, about the project simulation, about accommodation, food, common rules, prepared manuals ect. Together with Greece there will be groups from other 5 countries: Slovakia, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and Italy.
From the Greek group there will be 6 participants to take part.
We are all looking forward to this experience.
